THE NEXT GENERATION UPGRADE

Titleist rolls out the latest versions of three of their most successful golf balls.

New and improved versions of the Titleist AVX, TrueFeel and Tour Soft will hit the stores soon, providing golfers with better performance from the premier golf ball manufacturer.

Relative to Pro V1, Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left Dash, the new AVX maintains its positioning as the lower flying, lower spinning and softer feeling performance option.

The new AVX builds upon its unique combination of distance and feel through advancements to every layer of the golf ball. The new high gradient, high speed core delivers longer tee-to-green distance and exceptionally soft feel. This is the same high gradient core technology found in Pro V1 and Pro V1x, which helps reduce long game spin without sacrificing greenside spin and control. “When we talk about the gradient of the core, we’re talking about stiffness as it radiates from the center of the core to the outermost layers of that core,” said Mike Madson, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball R&D. “With AVX’s core reformulated for a higher gradient, we’re able to give golfers more of that low spin and long distance with their long irons and hybrids, which is hugely important to the AVX player.”

A new thin, high-flex casing layer provides lower spin on long game shots, while the 346 quadrilateral dipyramid catenary dimple design allows for a more piercing ball flight; and the new softer urethane cover delivers softer feel and more greenside spin for excellent short game control.

New AVX golf balls will be offered in both white and high optic yellow. They are now available in golf shops worldwide with an MSRP of S$69.60.

The new Titleist TruFeel is the next generation of the softest Titleist golf ball. Designed to provide long distance and increased greenside spin and control, it promises an ultra-soft feel on every shot through advanced core and cover technologies.

The new TruTouch core combines long distance and fast ball speeds with a very soft feel off the club face. And the softer 3.0 TruFlex cover delivers increased greenside spin for more short game control. TruFit aerodynamics give golfers a penetrating, low ball flight and long distance from a unique, spherically tiled 376 tetrahedral dimple design.

New to TruFeel is a thicker, softer 3.0 TruFlex cover that increases greenside spin, while working in combination with a new, reformulated TruTouch core to provide long distance with Titleist’s softest feel.

Across the entire Titleist golf ball family, each golf ball model has its own unique dimple pattern to optimise aerodynamics and flight for its respective construction. TruFeel’s 376 tetrahedral dimple pattern delivers the penetrating flight and total distance that TruFeel players count on.

New TruFeel golf balls (White) is currently available in golf shops worldwide, while the Yellow TruFeel will be available on 1 March 2024 with Matte Red available on 15 May 2024. The MSRP for the Titleist TruFeel is S$36.00.

Faster core technology and a reformulated cover system are the key highlights in the new Titleist Tour Soft golf ball, providing golfers with longer distance off the tee, increased spin into the green, and soft feel off the club face.

The new faster, large core delivers faster ball speed for more distance off the tee, incredible soft feel and low spin on long game shots, while the reformulated thin Fusablend cover provides dependable greenside spin for excellent short game control. A 346-quadrilateral dipyramid dimple design offers an efficient aerodynamic package and optimised ball flight for long distance.

Tour Soft features a new, large core that increases ball speed and distance off the tee while providing an incredible soft feel on every shot. The 1.608-inch diameter of Tour Soft’s core makes it the largest ionomer-covered core in the market. Engineered over Tour Soft’s core is its thin FusaBlend cover which has been reformulated to increase spin and control into and around the greens. Fusablend is a Titleist proprietary combination of ionomers and softening polymers used to create a cover material with spin performance and feel that is unmatched among other ionomer covers.

“The core is the engine of the golf ball, and that’s where a ball gets its speed,” said Mike Madson, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball R&D. “What makes new Tour Soft unique is the size of its core, which gives the ball even more of its fastest material and allows for exceptional speed in the long game. Then when you get into your scoring clubs, Tour Soft’s Fusablend cover over that large core gives golfers the spin needed to hit it closer to the hole.”

The unique size of Tour Soft’s core has only become achievable through continued innovations to the manufacturing processes at Titleist Ball Plant 2, located in North Dartmouth, Mass.

“Manufacturing a 1.608 core is not an easy task, but the advantages it delivers to golfers in on-course performance is tremendous,” Madson said. “We’re only able to produce a core that large because of our manufacturing expertise. We have total control over all our processes, which allows us to make the advancements needed to create a core at that size that performs the same from ball to ball and dozen to dozen.”

Across the entire Titleist golf ball family, each golf ball model has its own unique dimple pattern to optimize aerodynamics and flight for its respective construction. Tour Soft golf balls feature a 346 quad dipyramid dimple pattern, resulting in extremely efficient aerodynamics for optimized flight and distance.

New Tour Soft golf balls will be offered in white, high optic yellow and green and are now available in golf shops worldwide at an MSRP of S$56.50. Tour Soft will be available in pink in July 2024.
