TAG HEUER
The Monaco Gulf Special Edition
The Monaco Gulf’s story begins with the passion for top-tier of motorsport. Gulf, TAG Heuer, the tour de force Porsche 917, and Steve McQueen wearing the Monaco on his wrist. For the 2022 edition, the TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition is a true eye-catcher. More refined with the in-house Heuer 02 movement that is housed in a fine brushed and polished steel case. The three iconic colors of Gulf are in a more contemporary and special dark blue, turquoise, and orange, which for the first time, are present on the minute sub-counters at 3 o’clock. Also a premiere in the Monaco Gulf watch editions, the Gulf logo on the dial is totally white. The opaline sunray brushed dial brings to the watch an interesting aesthetic duality. The 12 o’clock index is replaced by the number “60” – polished and rhodium plated – as a nod to the racing number on the Porsche Gulf racing cars. On the back is a personalised version of the oscillating mass and column wheel with a special engraving coloured to match the Gulf orange pantone. Completing the sporty yet sophisticated look, the perforated strap of blue calfskin leather and orange lining have different sized holes, a reflection of the design originally fitted to Monaco models in the 1970s, bringing a touch of the past to this Special Edition timepiece.
PANERAI
Submersible S Brabus
Blue Shadow Edition
This 200 piece limited edition’s unique design is a culmination of the best that the worlds of premium horology and elite day boating have to offer, drawing inspiration from the signature design cues of the Brabus Shadow series of boats. The 47mm titanium case offers both performance and a striking matte finish with an assertive presence. Both the unidirectional rotating bezel and lever are made from Carbotech, its variegated pattern giving each watch a unique character, and boasts durability, lightness, and high resistance to corrosion. Blue Super-LumiNova on the indices and hands make for highly legible and striking accents. The new P.4001/S caliber is a skeletonised movement featuring a one-piece off-centred oscillating weight that allows for bi-directional winding. The oscillating rotor made of tungsten enables the movement to be much thinner and lighter while the stop balance wheel and seconds reset devices enable the time to be synchronised with a reference time signal. Three years in development, the P.4001/S caliber includes a GMT function, an AM/PM indicator and three-day power reserve. The patented polarised date display offers a view of the date indication only through the opening at 3 o’clock, without revealing the rest of the date wheel or concealing the workings of the movement. Water-resistant to 30 bar, the watch features two straps, a bi-material option combining black rubber and leather, and a second in deep blue rubber.
