TaylorMade Unleashes Speed Injected Twist Face

05 Mar 2019

The new TaylorMade M5 and M6 drivers are the fourth and most innovative generation of its high-performance line of M-Series metal woods. Comprising of drivers, fairway woods and rescues, The entire range was launched by its Singapore and Malaysia distributor, MST Golf at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. Not coincidentally, the launch was in conjunction with the SMBC Singapore Open last month, and was witnessed by media, dealers, TaylorMade home pros and key industry people from both countries.

TaylorMade Golf is an industry leader in product innovation, technology and performance, no surprise then that they have been the #1 Driver in Golf for seventeen consecutive years. And once again, TaylorMade has pushed engineering boundaries with the introduction of their Speed Injected Twist Face in the all new M5 and M6 drivers. Designed with an extremely thin and fast face which exceeds the C.O.R. limitations set by the governing bodies, each head is then injected with speed resin through two visible ports in the face to dial it back down to the absolute legal limit allowed by the USGA and R&A.

“We are very excited about the M5 and M6 drivers and have received tremendous response from our preview events. We are confident TaylorMade will continue to dominate as the #1 golf brand in this region.” said Ng Yap, CEO of MST Golf after thanking attendees joining the launch. “We look forward to working closely with all our retail partners to deliver the TaylorMade experience and meet consumer’s expectation with the new M-Series clubs.” He added.

A full team of TaylorMade management was present to support the launch and product presentations. “We are very pleased with the progress of MST Golf as our strategic partner, and I would like to thank the local TaylorMade team under MST Golf for organizing this important launch event to kick start our 2019 season.” said Sinthusand Urupong, Head of TaylorMade South East Asia. “Our new M5 and M6 drivers are the fastest drivers on the market, and therefore we say ‘Everybody Gets Faster’.“ added Urupong on the new TaylorMade tagline.

The launch also introduced the M5 and M6 irons featuring the new Speed Bridge technology to further increase distance and enhance the sound and feel of their new irons. Then there’s the Inverted Cone Technology designed to optimize ball speed across the face; a fluted hosel design redistributes saved weight to optimise launch; and a new Hybar damping system and multi-material badges control vibration for a softer, more solid feel.

TaylorMade’s launch event continued throughout the week of the SMBC Singapore Open, engaging consumers with the entire M5 and M6 series made available for the spectators to view at the merchandise marquee, as well as test them at the driving range.
