TaylorMade P7TW Tiger Woods Masters Limited

05 Dec 2020

Jack Nicklaus, the Golden Bear, won his 6th and final Masters at the age of 46; and was it any less phenomenal when Tiger Woods donned the Green Jacket for his 5th Masters win at 43 years of age in 2019?

Not according to TaylorMade, who have dreamed up a limited edition set of irons to honour and commemorate Woods historic Masters moment, a feat which many doubted ever seeing again, Ben Hoganesque as it was was in its monumental return to victory.

The special commemorative blades are replicas of the set Woods co-designed with TaylorMade and used to win at Augusta National last year, with numerous references to the fabled tournament and venue.

The Masters green display box leaves no doubt as to the occasion it celebrates, boldly emblazoned with the numerals 15, the number of Tiger Woods majors accumulated over an extraordinary career. The inside cover’s flora references Augusta National’s blooms and the holes they are named after, and the gold plaque leaves no doubt as to the prized contents.

In honour of Woods 81st career win, only 81 sets of the P7TWs are in existence, with numbered stamping on the hosel of each iron head and the TaylorMade badge on the toe accented in green. The same shafts that Woods uses are included, with custom green, yellow and white True Temper Dynamic Gold shaft bands.

Designed to the 15-time major winner’s exact specifications, the P7TW irons feature a tuned offset and precisely located tungsten plugs within the iron heads to reflect Tiger’s specific demand for the flight, feel and control used to artfully craft the phenomenal shots that fascinate and intimidate spectator and competitor alike.

Each forged clubhead is made from 1025 carbon steel and undergoes a CNC milling process that lasts almost one hour for precision that leaves nothing to chance. How the numbers appear on the sole with increased size is also to Woods preference, the easier-to-read larger numbers eliminate the possibility of pulling the wrong club in a pressure situation.

For US$2,500, this limited edition set adds a personal touch and the exclusivity of a hand-signed photograph of Woods in his winning moment. If there ever was a Christmas gift for the golfer in your life who has everything, this is it.
