STROKE OF CHARITY
The effects of stroke on survivors and their families can be life-changing. That is why the path to recovery for persons affected by stroke truly depends on the support available. Helping stroke survivors receive the post-stroke care they deserve and reintegrate into everyday life is the main mission at Stroke Support Stations (S3).
S3 is the first and only stroke-focused community rehabilitation and wellness agency dedicated to meeting the needs of post-stroke survivors and their caregivers across Singapore. With S3, persons affected by stroke can receive care continuum through both tech-enhanced and conventional therapy, and programmes targeting psychosocial wellbeing to maximise their recovery potential. Golfers will be able to do their bit to help S3 achieve their goals by participating in the Swing for S3 Charity Golf Fundraiser on 29 August at the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club. Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, will be the event’s Guest of Honour.
A delicious dinner will follow a day on Singapore’s number one golf course, with all proceeds going to help S3 subsidise rehab costs for persons affected by stroke, and run wellness programmes that also enhance psychosocial support that foster mental resilience in stroke survivors and their caregivers.
