The Illumination Of A Colourful Moscow Apartment

The interior design of this apartment in Moscow is transformed by colours, curves and linear lines by O2 Design Moscow. Fronted by the award-winning Oksana Salberg-Vachnadze, a graduate of Moscow State Academic University S.G. Stroganov, Oksana has chosen to work with DelightFull, who represent a fresh reinterpretation of mid-century lighting design. DelightFull revives design and inspirational art from the 40s to 70s, bringing a fresh spirit to classic lamps with the progression of colours and materials of modern décor to create new iconic and trendsetting lighting designs.

The collaboration of O2 Design Moscow and DelightFull sees the use of various colours to transform this living room, conveying a feeling of joy, excitement, and vivacity. Large windows let in natural light, further accentuating the colours and a sense of space.

Brilliantly designed by Oksana, blue is regularly present in several spaces. Beyond the aesthetic, a blue environment favours intellectual exercise and reassures, and is ideal for formal environments, offices or even the bedroom, due to the azure shade’s calming effect.

The striking use of yellow also brings more warmth and illumination to otherwise austere décor and aids in concentration and attention. Complementing the room’s blue and yellow tones is the gold of the Botti chandelier from DelightFull hanging over the centre of the dining table, infusing the room with a touch of luxury and elegance as only gold can.

The Botti modern hanging chandelier is inspired by American trumpeter Chris Botti. Centred in the living room, it dazzles with its beauty and grandeur. Aesthetic yet functional, it transforms the room when natural light can no longer do so. The mid-century lighting design with a handmade brass frame boasts a sophisticated gold finish in a unique shape and design that is sure to draw attention with its character. Its unique shape and design make it the perfect suspension lamp in any modern living room.

Also full of character is the floor chandelier in the corner of the living room. The Duke in a more discreet white tone will not go unnoticed with its striking combination of linear lines, curves of the lampshades and brass accents. An inspiration for the world’s many artists and musicians, jazz musician Duke Ellington inspires this floor chandelier, delicate and elegant in white, tranquil and peaceful, a contrasting match to the impressive classic details of the white walls and ceiling. With a short silhouette and a single swing, the Duke floor lamp is a retro-styled accessory for modern interior designs. Each cone lamp shade is driven by a brass arm and its counterweight. Discreet by day, the Duke floor chandelier comes into its own by night, taking on new life as the main piece of the room’s colour puzzle.

Wall lamps are another way of adding character to otherwise drab décor through the use of amazing detail, always important for wall lamps. And once again Delightfull was chosen to be in the hallways of this amazing apartment developed by 02 Design Moscow Studio, and the chosen ones were the Brubeck and Galliano Wall lamps in gold tones to add elegance and luxury.

Luxury and art deco are synonymous with the Brubeck Wall sconce lighting design. Inspired by the timeless musical instrument that is the pipe organ and one of the foremost exponents of jazz, Dave Brubeck, this luxurious wall sconce is a statement piece on its own. Weighing 13 pounds, the Brubeck is composed of a series of handmade brass tubes all welded together by hand, finished off with a touch of class in an art deco gold-plated finish. Requiring only four bulbs, this modern wall sconce brightens the décor of any entryway or even as a secondary and complementary accent piece in the dining area.

And finally, meet Galliano, a minimalist styled modern wall lamp that slips fittingly into any room in the home, regardless of the style of interior design. It’s not a coincidence that this wall lamp is one of DelightFull’s most popular lighting pieces with clients. Matte black iron tubes are finished with a gold powder paint exterior and white interior accents for Galliano to produce a unique lighting effect when light is cast through the dual pipes. Finishes are client customisable to suit the décor and the number of tubes can be as many as three. The Galliano minimalist wall lamp elevates the decor of most any space and is ideal as a decorative bathroom wall lighting or as the preferred lighting to hallways and home entrances.
