Speed Tuned and A.I. Optimised for specific performance

Where there used to be a one-size fits all approach with the advent of adjustability in drivers, these days, it’s about dialling in what specifically fits each particular type of golfer.

The new Rogue ST line of drivers, of which there are four, are personalised to dial in either low spin, more forgiveness, or draw-biased performance to be specifically Speed Tuned to a golfer’s swing. These are an evolution over the popular 2018 Rogue drivers and not a replacement of the 2021 Epic Speed or 2020 Mavrik.

Callaway promises the Rogue ST drivers to be their fastest and most stable with a breakthrough in performance. The Tungsten Speed Cartridge places specific weight low and deep in the head for increased speed, stability, and high MOI. The construction, shaping and positioning of their Jailbreak Speed Frame promote even more speed and stability. Continuing to rely on Artificial Intelligence, they have lowered spin and increased forgiveness in their face optimisation formula.

Taking a cue from Formula 1, engineers scrutinised every single parameter of design to fully optimise efficiency, stripping away anything remotely superfluous in the search for maximum distance and stability.

There’s a new Jailbreak Speed Frame behind the face, designed to be stiffer at the bottom and more flexible at the top for improved flex and energy transfer.

An F1 derived new Unibody construction, provides stability, lowers the centre of gravity, and ensures more consistent construction to further contain impact energy and return it to the golf ball. 10 different titanium alloys were on the table before one was selected as strong enough to handle high-speed impact with minimal loss of energy transfer.

Maximum forgiveness comes by way of a new tungsten speed cartridge (ranging in weight from 26g – 20g) at the back of the head, delivering extreme perimeter weighting performance.

Rogue ST Max
This is Callaway’s best combination of distance and forgiveness that will fit the majority of players. The Rogue ST Max features the highest MOI head with a slight draw bias, though nowhere near as much as the slice correcting Rogue ST Max D.

In comparison to Epic Speed, the Max cuts backspin by 250 RPM and adds a little more speed with an 11% tighter dispersion.

A 26g tungsten Speed Cartridge mounted on the back of the head delivers increased MOI, more than the Mavrik, providing extra ball speed protection even when the ball impacts off the face centre.

Rogue ST Max LS
Because each model within the Rogue ST line is more targeted to a certain type of golfer, the Rogue ST Max LS, like the other drivers, has a different artificially intelligent designed pattern on the back of the face to optimise ball speed for its typical impact location.

The Rogue ST Max LS has a high MOI head built for lower spin along with a stronger trajectory to boost distance. The head is shorter and an aerodynamic shaped crown slopes aggressively from front to back. The ball flight is more neutral, with more workability and lower spin characteristics compared to the Rogue ST Max. This would be the option for many mid-to-low handicap players who like to bomb the ball and also want some degree of shot shaping capability.

Rogue ST Max D
Callaway’s dedicated draw model is for players who need the most shot shape correction. The ST Max D’s extra heel weighting is set up to counteract distance robbing slice spin and keep the golfer in the short grass more often.

With less face progression than on the Rogue ST Max D, there’s more time to square the face up at impact. The shaft’s more upright lie angle automatically helps start shots further left of the target, while the more forgiving stretched shape along with the internal and external weighting create maximum shot shape correction.

A 20g Tungsten Speed Cartridge also ensures high MOI performance for maximum forgiveness performance when impact is made anywhere other than the sweetspot.

Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS
The Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS driver is a low spin option for better players and is the latest evolution of Callaway’s Tour-proven Triple Diamond heads. It’s the lowest spinning Rogue ST driver model in a compact 450cc head (smaller than the standard Rogue ST Max’s 460cc), with a neutral-to-fade bias to better promote the better player’s preferred shot shape. When compared to the Sub Zero, the Triple Diamond has a deeper face, more sole relief and a higher skirt.

Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele have all won playing the Triple Diamond drivers, previously reserved exclusively for Callaway’s tour staff. Noting the increase in interest, Callaway is now bringing the Rogue ST Triple Diamond LS to retail.
