Mini Rosewood Edition

21 Aug 2020

Mini has long had a rich heritage of design in its 61-year history, with each Mini special edition a chance to own an unique version of what is already one of the most distinctive cars on the planet.

This summer, stand out from the crowd with the urban chic of the Mini Rosewood Edition. In both 3 and 5 Door variants, this sophisticated quintessential hatchback is clothed in a bold new exterior colour paired with fresh accents. Mr Kidd Yam, Head of Mini Asia said, “The Mini Rosewood Edition is inspired by the warmness of summer, and hones its profile as a stylish individualist in the premium compact segment. Its bold paintwork underscores the car’s progressive and lifestyle-oriented character, while the premium trim selections demonstrate the Mini brand’s leading edge in customisation.”

Indian Summer Red is the Rosewood Edition’s standout exclusive colour, contrasted by the jet black roof and wing mirrors. Further detailing on the headlight and taillight trims, grille, door handles, and brand badges are in Piano Black.

Underscoring the colour scheme is the unique Rosewood pinstriped motif etched in Jet Black with matching Jet Black 17” Cosmos Spoke light-alloy wheels with runflat tyres. Floating hub caps keep the Mini logo right side up while on the move.

Opening both front doors light-projects a Rosewood logo on the ground, a visual highlight that also illuminates obstacles such as bumps or puddles. The ‘Rosewood’ lettering and motif also appears on the silver door sill in LED lighting.

On the inside, the dashboard panel in Rosewood pinstriped motif matches the Mini Yours Walknappa leather steering wheel. The sense of luxury continues with the seat upholstery in Leather Lounge Carbon Black, and perforated Union Jack motif on the headrests of the front sports seats.

Keyless Comfort Access conveniently unlocks the doors and boot and starts the engine without reaching for the key. A rear-view camera features track and turning circle lines as guides, and an obstacle marker aids manoeuvring into tight parking spaces. The rear parking distance control emits acoustic warning signals if the driver is too close to another car or object.

With a 1.5-litre TwinPower Turbo engine for a power output of 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque, the 7-speed Steptronic transmission with dual-clutch technology provides extremely fast gear changes for sporty acceleration manoeuvres with a high degree of shift comfort. With a choice of three driving modes – Mid for comfort, Sport for increased throttle sensitivity and steering feel, and Green for optimised fuel consumption, there’s even a coasting function in Mid and Green mode.

Set the cruise control with brake function via the multi-function steering wheel to automatically regulate and maintain the set speed even when going down a slope, courtesy of the in-built braking function.

In keeping with today’s lifestyle, Mini Connected allows seamless integration of the car into daily digital routines, with the Rosewood Edition featuring an updated user interface redesigned with a minimalist approach, a reworked colour scheme, and icons designed with a flatter illustration for a cleaner, more contemporary look.
