MAYBANK GOLF DAY 2022

05 Jan 2023

17th November saw the staging of the Maybank Golf Day 2022, the first return of Maybank’s corporate golfing outing since the Covid pandemic.

Celebrating a mutual passion for golf, the event saw a mix of valued partners and clients networking with Maybank senior management at Sentosa Golf Club. Among the golfers bonding and catching up over golf was Datuk Karunakaran, Chairman of Maybank Singapore Limited.

Presented with specially curated goodie bags upon arrival, close to 60 golfers donned customised golf T-shirts and caps before teeing off on the Tanjong Course, where prizes of RWS vouchers awaited each eventual winner of the numerous novelty events which included Nearest The Pin and Nearest-The-Line on both the front and back nines, and the Longest Drive. And while every golfer had their eye on the Hole-in-One prize of S$100,000 in cash to be donated to the winner’s preferred choice of charity, the HIO prize remained unclaimed.

Pre-dinner cocktails and canapes followed the afternoon’s golf in the more intimate setting of Sentosa Golf Club’s Pulai Room. As a memento, each golfer was presented with a photograph of memorable moments of the day out on the Tanjong Course.

Following the opening addresses by the Chairman, Datuk Karunakaran, and by Dr John Lee, Country CEO & CEO of Maybank Singapore, dinner commenced with a casual yet fun-filled evening program. The prize presentation saw each of the winners of the on-course novelty events walk away with $300 worth of vouchers to RWS, while the tournament winners were rewarded with luxury suite stays at the Equarius, Capella Singapore and Raffles Hotel. Five lucky guests were also surprised with $500 worth of Takashimaya shopping vouchers during a dinner draw.

It was a convivial evening of dining where relationships were renewed and strengthened, and new friendships forged between Maybank and their much-valued partners and clients, genuinely resonating with the Maybank motto of ‘Humanising Financial Services’.
