Asian Tour Book 2024

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING L ooking at the statistics for 2024, it is not difficult to see why John Catlin comfortably claimed the Asian Tour Order of Merit title. While the American did not top any of the categories, he did consistently feature in the top 10 in the important areas that directly affect low scoring. He finished second on the Stroke Average table, with a median of 67.65, behind his compatriot Peter Uihlein, who led the way on 67.41. Catlin actually played eight more events than Uihlein, so his average is probably more of an achievement. Catlin was also second in Scrambling, had the eighth best Putting Average and finished ninth on the Total Birdies table. New Zealand’s Ben Campbell, who finished second on the Merit list, excelled in areas that he has a reputation for doing well in. He topped Driving Accuracy, was 10th in Greens in Regulation, plus he also made an appearance on the Scrambling stats, ending sixth. Big name players dominated the statistics. Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra wielded his driver to prolific effect finishing first in Driving Distance, with an average drive of 327.74 yards.
