ASIAN DEVELOPMENT TOUR TICKS ALL THE BOXES IN 2024 T he Asian Development Tour (ADT), with its wealth of talented players hungry to unlock their potential, never fails to deliver in terms of drama, action and performance. The 2024 season was no exception with 12 events consistent season, highlighted by a joint second place finish and three top fives, he pounced in the season- ending Aramco Invitational to lift his fourth title on the ADT and the Merit crown. It also meant he secured his Asian Tour card for 2025, as the top 10 from the Merit list all earn playing privileges for the following season’s main tour. Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool, Rahil Gangjee from India, Pakistan’s Ahmad Baig, Liu Yung-hua of Chinese, American Dodge Kemmer, Varanyu Rattanaphiboonkij, Witchayapat Sinsrang and Kosuke Hamamoto from Thailand, and Hong Kong’s Matthew Cheung, completed the top 10, in order. Tanapat, Gangjee and Baig all had the distinction of winning on two occasions, while Thailand’s Pavit Tangkamolprasert’s victory in Phuket took his tally of ADT titles to eight. At seven he already held the record with most wins. Three tournaments were held in Vietnam, two in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia while the inaugural ADT Players Championship presented by The R&A made a successful debut in Cambodia. With new stars like Tanapat and Baig emerging and experienced campaigners Itthipat, Gangjee and Kemmer seizing the opportunity to get back in the game, meant the Asian Tour’s secondary circuit ticked all the boxes in 2024.
