Colors Come Alive with the New AXOR One Bathroom Collection

15 Jul 2022

The AXOR One bathroom collection welcomes a new range of exciting colors like coral, aquamarine, stone, and more.

The AXOR One collection made a splash in the world of interiors when it debuted last year – what with its inimitable product range that celebrated simplicity and elegance.

Today, AXOR broadens the collection by collaborating with British designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby (collectively known as Barber Osgerby) once again. What results is a range of colored faucets and fixtures inspired by a specific set of naturally occurring interactions between light, color, and water.

To start, there is Aquamarine, which captures the chromatic character of a calm sea. Meanwhile, Coral exudes a warm, red-orange tone. Ice is a light, muted shade of blue that is typically present in the layered blues of glaciers and sea ice. Then there’s Stone, which is a strong grey that is referenced from the intersection of land and sea, while Shell is a cool, greyish pink. Finally, Sand celebrates the color of the shore, wet from the constant crashing of the tide.

Selected fixtures from the collection feature a gloss finish, which reads like a layer of water over the surface color, adding depth and vibrancy. Just like water, the gloss finish reflects the surrounding environment, while providing the easily cleanable surfaces typically present in a bathroom.

“Each color balances the ability to become part of a calm visual field with limitless scope for self-expression and individuality, reflecting the way in which bathrooms and small cloakrooms are increasingly becoming places that are less about neutral utility and more about original and impactful design,” explains Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. “We chose the colors to complement the widest range of bathroom finishes, from enamel and concrete, to marble and wood.”

Anke Sohn, Head of Global Brand Marketing, AXOR, adds, “Edward and Jay curated these colors for us to evoke specific aspects of water in relation to the Earth and the sky. The palette draws on the designers’ observation that color often increases in vibrancy and intensity when seen through water, and it reflects the design brand’s elemental connection to nature through water.”

In addition, more than just mere color options, AXOR knows that people seek more personal expressions of luxury, style, and well-being. With the introduction of the latest DISTINCTIVE project, the brand explores individualization in personal living spaces by bringing together the most important insights and perspectives on the topic of individual luxury through expert interviews and conversations with AXOR design partners.

With an expertise that extends beyond the products themselves, AXOR inspires and enables architects, interior designers, and the design-savvy public, especially since it works with respected names in the design field, such as Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Jean-Marie Massaud, and Barber Osgerby. Together with AXOR, they shape water-related spaces that reflect the unique personality of the user.
