A New Era Of Fit And Traction

17 years ago when adidas got into golf footwear with the Tour360, the athletic footwear giant’s risky innovations catapulted golf shoe performance and design into a new era.

Almost two decades on, adidas decided it was timely to look back to innovate forward for their flagship model, and they distilled it down to two critical areas for golfers – fit and traction.

From the ground up, the new Tour360 22 sits on the Feet You Wear™ last that hugs and cradles the foot, accommodating natural movement in all directions for a better ground connection and easier generation of power. The direct-injected Spikemore traction system keeps golfers locked in with every swing.

“The Tour360 is synonymous with pinnacle technology and premium materials. Golfers will instantly notice a more natural fit that offers better stability, better traction and amazing comfort. I’ve been a part of the creation of every model of the Tour360, so I can confidently say that this is our best-performing model we have ever introduced.”

Tour360 22 Technology

Dualstack Midsole
Full-length Boost cushioning surrounds the EVA stability frame, a horseshoe-shaped chassis on the perimeter of the forefoot providing lightweight stability, comfort and performance.

Geofit Collar Pad
Enhancing fit and feel, the Geofit collar conforms to the top of the foot for a personalised and comfortable fit.

3D Torsion™ System
Targeted 3D Torsion wraps around both sides of the midfoot to enhance ground connection and foot stability through swing.

Insite Sockliner
The sockliner cradles the contours of the foot, especially in the heel, for enhanced cushioning, comfort, and support.

Spikemore Cleats
The Tours360 22’s cleats are directly injected at more precise sole locations, adjusting density and size depending on where the cleat sits. The inside and outside arm shapes are unique and feature a centre cone to enhance grip. Larger than normal spikes, they vary in size, and the new configuration helps to disperse weight and are green friendly.

PerformFit Wrap™ System
The Boa models feature two overlapping panels that pull down over the top of the instep, while the micro-adjustable Li2 dial wraps around the heel to lock the foot in place.

“I have a lot of lateral motion in my swing and a lot of weight transfer, which allows me to hit the ball further for a smaller guy, so I need the shoe to hold my foot in place when I’m swinging as hard as I can. Once you go for stability you can lose function, or if you go for fashion you lose function, but that wasn’t the case here. They kept the heel cupping and midfoot very stable, and the forefoot has a lot of bend so when you walk you don’t think you’re in a traditional golf shoe.”
