Freaky Friday Night
Bright lights amidst Singapore’s city night, The Hour Glass transformed Miaja Gallery into a lush party spot as Ulysse Nardin, the Pioneering Manufacture inspired by the sea who develops innovative timepieces for free spirits, turned the spotlight on the X collection, specifically Freak X and Skeleton X. Contrary to the official colours of blue and copper, the Friday night party was dominantly decked out in white minimalism in line with Ulysse Nardin’s high-tech, ultra-contemporary direction.
Guests were invited to #XperienceUN and were hosted by Mr Michael Tay, Group Managing Director of The Hour Glass and Mr Patrick Pruniaux, CEO of Ulysse Nardin.
A proud nod to the manufacturer’s roots in marine horology, Freak X and Skeleton X timepieces were highlighted on “X”-lit platforms within a specially customized water pod. Embracing the x-ray vision of next generation haute horlogerie, Freak X and Skeleton X were examined on x-ray film viewers and formed the backdrop of the evening’s centrepiece.
Freak X introduces the X-Factor in watchmaking, when function defines design. Shaking up the status quo, the Freak X is not just inspired by adventure, it is the call for Xploration.
Skeleton X is an x-ray interpretation of the future of watchmaking design, where we see everything, including the very architecture and functioning of time. The Skeleton X leaves nothing to the imagination
The mystery of the NeXt generation of Freak, Freak NeXt, was unveiled in a blackout room with green luminescent lights, inspired by the timepiece’s Superluminova effect that is visible only at night. No longer just a concept watch, Freak NeXt sets the tone for a new generation of Freak models to come, where innovation is taken to the Xtreme.
We explore. We exist. We are fearless. The X factor is our answer.
